PRAYER: Dear Jesus, Sun of righteousness, the bright rays of glory on that first Easter Sunday gave a renewed vigor and a fresh start to your followers, especially Peter. As you know, it can be quite a challenge sometimes, both physically and mentally, to get out of bed and tackle the day’s tasks. All the more important it is, then, for me to feel your bone-penetrating rays of forgiveness and to receive your muscle-energizing promises of strength and power. With your spiritual healing in my wings I intend to honor you today with my thoughts and my actions---grant me the strength to honor you in this way! Shine, Jesus, shine, in this heart of mine! Amen.
