By Honeywell Dickens Okello 8 hours 2 minutes ago Fighting continues in Malakal Fighting continues in Malakal According to Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, Military Spokesperson for SPLM/SPLA in Opposition, rebels cut off supplies and reinforcement routes after overrunning the outpost. We haven’t been able to get Col Philip Aguer, SPLA spokesperson’s comment on the same matter. Full statement by the rebels: Government troops and their Allies lost a strategic supplies and reinforcements route after it was overran by our Forces. Wei-Miboor links Guel-Guk with Adar Oil Fields north of Malakal and its fall effectively leaves Kiir’s forces with no supplies and reinforcements linkage. Wei-Miboor was captured by our Gallant Forces on 19-3-2014 under the Command of Brig. Gen. Peter Puok Koang deputised by Brig. Gen. Jack Riek Jack. More information will follow on the number of equipment captured/ destroyed as well as personnel losses suffered by the attacking forces. Meanwhile, our forces have intensified Shapping Operations in Guel-Guk with the decisive action due to be launched anytime deemed appropriate by the commanding officer. Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, Military Spokesperson for SPLM/SPLA in Opposition
