Malawi a Warning Sign to PF, says FDA The following press release was issued by the Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) Party. We congratulate Prof. Peter Mutharika on his electoral victory in the just ended Malawian tripartite general elections. We also congratulate outgoing president Joyce Banda for bowing to pressure not to use the state machinery to interfere with the electoral process and subsequently conceding defeat. Thus Malawians have opened a new chapter in their journey towards a prosperous and democratic nation. The turn of events in the Malawian politics should serve as a warning that in like manner the PF government in Zambia will be booted out of government for their failure to run the affairs of this government prudently. Since PF took over there has been experience of misery among the poor, due to unemployment, rising cost of living, devaluation of the Kwacha and the failure to fulfill other promises.
