Malawi elections rigging scheme exposed! Peoples Party (PP) operatives are running a scheme that may have potentially dis-enfranchised unsuspecting voters who are being hoodwinked to part with their voter registration cards, on pretext that the operative needs the voter identification card to apply for fertilizer coupons on their behalf. The operative goes on to photocopy the Voters Registration Card, opening the genuine card and inserting a photo of the person who will be used to actually cast the ballot using the card. The color copy ID is sealed and returned to the owner. On May 20, 2014 the compromised original will be used at the expense of the validly registered voter, who, apprehended for having a fake ID, will be rejected.
