Malayalam film director #AnjaliMenon is back with #BangaloreDays after the national award winning much acclaimed movie #UstadHotel. After waiting for more than a month, it was finally released last weekend here in Dubai. It has created a lot of buzz even before its release due to its star cast and the crew associated with Anjali Menon. The plot spins around three cousins who share a close bond since their childhood & their migration from Kerala to Bangalore. The group goes through turbulent times but it is their affection for each other that keep them going. They face situations mostly with a smile and their attitudes keep the viewers entertained in a big way.The characters and their stories have been written and executed in an impressive Anjali way by knitting together family bonds in purely comic vein, throwing up characters like a wife and husband who just drift apart from each other out of love for independent life. She successfully handles all the three characters with a the right ingredients. Performance wise, the three lead actors get an equal share of the pie. Fahadh Faasil excels in portraying the silent character with bottled-up emotions. Parvathi plays this motivating character, but one feels she would have been more credible if she had shown moments of pain or dejection. National Award winner Kalpana potraied the typical mallu homemaker who falls for the Western Culture in an emphatic way. Sameer Thahir’s visuals are top notch and Gopi Sundar’s music is fine. The film stretches to three hours but one doesnt feel it thanks to the even pacing. Praveen Prabhakar would have avoided the slow pace of the film in the second half with his editing techniques. Verdict: 4.999/5
