Malaysian leaders (BN or PR alike, but more so in the case of BN leaders) are not used to free media. They have enjoyed friendly media for more than 50 years. So when global media attack in the case of MH370, they cant take it. They start to be defensive, asking the people to take sides with them, playing patriotic trick, etc. The truth is, in the west where the media is free, it is normal for the media to grill the leaders in any issues to ensure the truth prevail. The media do not mean to ridicule the leaders for fun. They grill the leaders because they do their duty as the 4th pillar of a working democracy (besides parliament, executive, and judiciary. So, Malaysian leaders, time to get used to the free media. For local issues, you guys can pressure our media. But, MH370 is no local issues. It is being scrutinzed by the free global media. So, get used to it, for it is slowly coming to our land too. Having said that, I still respect Mr Hishamudin Hussein.
