Malcolm Thomas wouldnt budge, even when asked by two committee members to show lenience. Asked several times. But, he wouldnt budge. He even sat there and said he sent two invitations to Willie Spears to meet with him. But Willie never got those invitations and wasnt even allowed to refute it. He was given THREE minutes to try to put everything out there that needed to be said...three minutes to fight for his whole job. Thank you to Mr. Boone and Ms. Moultry who had the guts to vote no. Mr Bergosh almost changed to a no vote, but in the end he failed the test. Malcom was intent on having it his way, no matter what damage it did. Im ashamed I ever voted for him. I had no idea. Im ashamed to live in this county with this school board. Im worried about the kids at Escambia high school. They were so upset, breaking down and sobbing. Theres no joy in Mudville, Malcolm had said. I guess we figured out tonight that Mudville must be his name for EHS. Guess they were too happy and winning too much. Beat them back down so the pet schools can look better. Im angry and hurt and it didnt happen to me. Please pray for Coach Spears and his family and for the kids at EHS.
