*** Malcom Young Update. Reported in the Toronto Sun News. AC/DC star Malcolm Young is reportedly receiving treatment for dementia after suffering a stroke last year. The Highway to Hell hitmakers announced in April that guitarist Young would be taking a break from the group to concentrate on his health, and on Wednesday, his bandmates revealed the ailing musician will not be returning to the line-up due to a mystery illness. Now a report in the Sydney Morning Herald suggests he has has been admitted to the Lulworth House care facility in Sydney, Australia as his condition deteriorates. A source tells the publication, If you were in the room with (Young) and walked out, then came back in one minute later, he wouldnt remember who you are. He has a complete loss of short-term memory. His wife, Linda, has put him in full-time care. AC/DC have yet to comment on the report. They are preparing to release their new album, titled Rock Or Bust, in December. The project will be the first in the bands history not to feature Young, whose brother Angus Young is AC/DCs lead guitarist. Rock Or Bust is AC/DCs first album since 2008s Black Ice.
