Mali is 5 years old today! She shares her special day with a host of friends and family members. We found out that we were pregnant with Mali during the passing of my grandmother. I often look at Mali and wonder if a little bit of Ms. Althea Myers is in her! Lol! I say that with complete love and respect. Some of my favorite moments with my grandmother was when she moved to Houston. She would remind me that she loved baby girls over baby boys, and somehow I think she has a lot to do with making me a father of three daughters. My sweet and feisty princess, you are the image of African beauty and grace. You have a strong sense of self, that I trust will lead you to greatness. Love you #2.
