Mama Cungu, Im sure you are a good mum because Cungu seems happy - TopicsExpress

Mama Cungu, Im sure you are a good mum because Cungu seems happy and healthy however Im concerned moreso about his welfare. I know youre protecting your child so I beg you to see things from all angles. First of all in case youre wondering, I was invited to this group. I have nothing personal against you nor rusinga because I dont know yall. Im just concerned over an innocent kid. Lets just be real, at 4 years old Cungu wouldnt have known to want dreads, maybe at 6 now he has grown accustomed to the look which is fine but he didnt make that choice, you guys agreed which is okay because its your child. You also chose the school and by agreeing to pay the fees it means you accept the terms and conditions. Personally I feel that theres something in the story that has been left out, the way youve narrated it, dreadlocks must have been the initial issue but it escalated to something else. Try find that out. You say youre protecting your child whose human rights have been infringed on - human rights entail food, shelter and clothing...which I dont think Cungu was denied so I guess you meant the right to freedom of expression which takes us back to the first point. It wasnt his choice for school and hair it was yours. However you have violated his right to privacy as parents by posting pics of him which exposes him to danger. This is social media, you never know who is watching. When I was added yesterday within 30 min I knew how Cungus names, parents, friends of parents, his age, his school how he even looked like at 4 years. Have you any idea how dangerous this info can be in the wrong hands? Here is a innocent child smack in the middle of all this mess yet he didnt ask for it. How about how he will be treated when he goes back to the school? It will not be the same because the spot light has been cast on him . Noone will want to touch him for fear of being sued or otherwise. ?..did you consider that? How about other schools? Will they accept admittance or fear being sued? Were the locks for religious reasons? Coz even public schools allow Bobo Shantes to tie turbans, or was it for fashion? Is it a priority to have the dreads? I dont know how many parents here have kids with dreads but they can advice you on what they did without all this drama. Yes boys and girls are NEVER the same. Thats why we have separate toilets, thats why we have separate clothes thats why youre not allowed to shower with your son as a mum and same applies for dads and daughters. But it doesnt mean one is more special than the other it just means they are uniquely different and they should know that at a young age hence the emphasis for boys to look like boys and girls to look like girls. Its also for the convenience of teachers. Im sure Cungu wouldnt be happy all the time being mistaken for a girl. Anyways its your child I wish HIM ALL THE BEST AND HAPPINESS despite everything . Put HIS WELFARE FIRST leave feelings out of this. And dont expose him too much to strangers. Blur his photos or something
