Mama Rant- I love my in-laws, dont get me wrong, and my husband has always been incredibly supportive of my breastfeeding relationship with baby girl, but with the holidays comes the mixing of old-school and new-school ideals and norms, and I am struggling because my desires and needs are being put aside to make my in-laws (mostly FIL) comfortable. In other words, for the rest of the week whenever baby needs to eat I have been asked (by my sweet, loving, progressive husband, no less) to retreat to the bedroom to nurse. They spoil her like crazy, always say, only the best for baby, and his mom is a teacher of 2-year-olds. I dont know how to deal at this point. Its freakin Christmas! I want to sit in the living room with everyone and enjoy the family and holiday, not be banished to the back room just to appease the old man. Sad face.
