Mama always said it was a poor frog that praises its own pond. Sorry mama but Im going to praise the girls you raised because yall did good and it reflects in our upbringing by our parents. 1.Gail Harrison raised 5 little children in addition to her own and loved them unconditionally. Gail later put herself as a single mom through nursing school. 2. Sarah Voyles Williams had a husband that early in their marriage was diagnosed with severe heart disease. They had 2 young children, Mike due to his bad heart had to retire, then stayed home and took care of the children and Sarah became the main bread winner. Mike always took good care of Sarah, Jaclyn and Chris. It left a big void when his name was called to go home. 3. Nancy Brafford for several years was almost a single mom while the phone company kept moving her husband, Manley, from place to place. They were very much a team and were together as a family as much as they could be until they settled him permanently near Helen Ga. Now Manley has Huntingston Disease and Nancy is lovingly caring for him and he lovingly lets her. 4. Susan lost her husband in a tragic accident 7 years ago. She has stood the test of time and is now caring for a mother in law that is hospitalized and her time is near. Susan has held her hand, wiped her brow, prayed for her and done every thing she could to make her comfortable. She has only left the hospital a few hours late yesterday to rest after being there over 36 hours. Susan is doing what she can for Steves mother for no other reason than love. Mama and Daddy raised 5 daughters to be considerate of others, to give of your time and most importantly put God first. They taught us that He died for our sins, bore them on a blood soaked cross and we needed to live our life as an example of Christian love and caring. Do we always succeed NO, because we are human but I think Mama and Daddy would be proud of their little 5 rag tailed girls.
