Mamelodi Sundowns wrapped up a successful pre-season tour of Ghana in fine style with a comprehensive 2 – 0 victory over Cape-Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 in Bafana Ba Style’s last friendly match of the tour. Coach Pitso Mosimane’s men turned up the heat in their last match and especially new man Cuthbert Malajila, who netted a brace in the match played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. The Brazilians started the match like a house on fire, with the likes of Teko Modise and Thami Sangweni controlling all the movements in the middle of the park. The home side was being frustrated upfront, with Alje Schut and Rashid Sumaila taking no prisoners on the day. Malajila opened the scoring for Sundowns in the first half after a beautiful cross ball from Anthony laffor, ending the first half with Sundowns leading 1-0. Sundowns never took their foot off the pedal as they continued where they left off in the second half. The team is expected back in South Africa on Thursday, 25 July 2013, and the technical team will have had the opportunity to test out all possible combinations ahead of the crucial 2013/14 PSL season.
