Man Abandons His Home as Wife Takes Control It is generally believes that its so embarrassing for a man to be beaten by his own wife, let alone inform the whole world about such a nasty development. But a Harare man recently regarded all that as nonsense and ran for his dear life to the nearest police station where he reported that his wife had bashed him. Fearing for further getting a second round of beating as punishment for reporting the matter to police, Steven Kamba, even spent the whole night at the police station to avoid his Kung-FU bashing wife Sarah Runesu. The troubled man bared it all at the Harare Civil court where he had dragged his wife whom he accused of being physically abusive and treating him like a small boy. he was praying for a protection order against his wife so that being bashed by his wife could become a thing of the past. She is always abusing me and treats me like a child. Recently, I slept at the police station after she had assaulted me and chased me out of the house. She threatens to cause havoc at my workplace so as to have me fired. Sarah suspects that I am having an extra-marital affair. She switches off her mobile phone whenever she goes out of the house and I no longer love her because of the way she treats me. She does not respect me and I feel like I am a woman in my own house, Kamba said. Responding to the claims, Sarah came clean and admitted that she beats up her husband. The woman however said she began abusing him when he started cheating on her. It all started when Steven started having extra-marital relationships. I have seen a lot of love messages in his cell phone. He told my relatives that I had failed to sire children for him and blames me for treating him like a child, she said. Magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami who presided over the case, however could not grant the man his much-needed protection order. He only ordered Sarah to live peacefully with her husband.
