Man Arrested at Logan After Hitting Security Worker in the Face BOSTON, Mass (WGGB) A 53 year old Carlisle man was arrested today at Logan airport after smashing his backpack in a 74-year-old security workers face. According to State Police, the security guard was struck directly following his verbal altercation with Eric Brandhorst because his backpack was too large to be carried onto the flight. She was observed as having bruising around her left eye, and pain in her hip, knee and shoulder after she hit the floor. She was examined by Massport firefighters and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for further examination. Brandhorst was immediately taken into custody and is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person 60 or older. During his booking, Brandhorst told troopers he was “aggravated” and had “made a mistake.”
