Man City. Oh well. It isnt the tie anyone would have picked (even among the big teams you would add them as an after-thought) but if you are going to go away you may as well make a day of it: its a great stadium, will probably be fairly priced and it is a relative short haul. Boro have nothing to lose: big spending title chasers City will be strong favourites and will probably rest some of there key men as they have bigger fish to fry while Aitors Army will have achance to test themselves against a Champions League side - as we saw at Liverpool are quite capable of giving top teams a scare. We will be entitled to up to 15% of capacity which (allowing for segregation) will be around 5,200 tickets. On current away day numbers and if they are well priced we will sell those. Im looking forward to it - and not just because of the legendary press room hospitality. Last time we were at the Etihad it was a 12.15KO for TV. We got there at 10am to be greeted with a full English. Result. Last time we played City was in the third round of the FA Cup in January 2010. Boros team that day was Coyne, McMahon, Wheater, Riggott, Williams, Arca, Hoyte, Johnson, ONeil, Franks, Bent... it was just before Gordon Strachans Great Jockification. They had Kompany, De Jong, Zabaleta and Shay Given had a worldie in goal while Carlos Tevez and golf clubs Bellamy came off the bench. Benjani scored. But in the build up we wont be talking about that. Well be talking about THIS....
