Man, I just got done filling out a job app for Florida Hospital and let me tell you job apps are not what they used to be. It was three hours of fielding one template after another and this goes beyond the reorder and re-crafting of cover letter and resume. I’m just looking for something part time for now as I am hoping to facilitate a change in a positive direction away from the job that in my view violates human rights and decency. Somehow it still reminds me of the grinders, sculleries and grease traps that I used to clean out when early in the program while working at Chef Italia the commissary (Meat Packing Plant) on what is called the Vestal Parkway up in New York State. I worked there for better than eight months from early in 1986 to September that year. Man when that summer heat hit and all forms of nasty would go on in them there grease traps. But with hip boots and shovel in hand I would jump in (they were in ground traps out and down in the back driveway) them there traps and after you blew your guts out due to the smell and the dry heaves took over it wasn’t so bad. Then you could start work. This was working the steps the old fashion way where my first Sponsor before anything else like working steps said to me “Randy, get a job,” and that was my job. And now for posterity sake I now offer up some images of in ground grease traps, just in case you are confused about the issues.
