Man Mutilated By Train: Verulam-KwaZulu Natal *Pics are not for sensitive viewers. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were contacted this morning to assist in locating the scene of a train accident. According to the caller he was unsure if the train had knocked someone or the train itself had been involved in a collision. The caller could also not provide an exact location of the incident and only stated that it was between Verulam and Ottawa. Reaction Officers proceeded to Temple Valley, Verulam, were they abandoned their patrols vehicles and walked approximately one kilometre along the railway until the mutilated body of an African male was discovered. Railway authorities were on scene and informed Reaction Officers that the victim was knocked by the train at approximately 07:00am this morning as he attempted to cross the train line. The victims left arm and both his legs had been amputated. His arm was found several metres away from his body. The scene was handed over to authorities for further investigation. The victim’s identity is unknown at this stage.
