Man United & Real Madrid linked with audacious swap deal Manchester United are in danger of losing David de Gea to Real Madrid, according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial. The report, which has been translated by Sports Witness, suggests De Gea’s close relatives and friends are in favour of the shot stopper pushing through a move back to Spain. El Confidencial also claim that any future deal could see Casillas, who has fallen behind Diego Lopez in the goalkeeping pecking order, involved in a potential swap deal - if De Gea was tempted by a move back to his homeland. Journalist Antonio Sanz said on De Gea’s future: "All the family, the player and his representative, labelled a common goal: join Real Madrid. “Manchester United emphatically oppose any transaction, but that does not mean that the transfer is implausible.
