Lionel Messi’s agent has handed Manchester United a transfer boost – after admitting the Barcelona star would look at offers to leave the Nou Camp. United have emerged as the shock front-runners to sign Messi after the Argentine forward hinted at a Barca exit this week. And now Messi’s dad Jorge, who also works as his agent, says his son would study a move away if a club met the player’s £200million buyout clause. ‘If the club were to come to us saying ‘we’ve got an offer and we’d like to accept it’ then of course we would have to study it,’ he told the Sun. United are believed to be considering an offer for Messi, but it’s not clear whether they’d be willing to stump up as much as £200million to do business. Manchester City and Chelsea are also keen on the 27-year-old.
