Man charged after two Basingstoke officers were seriously assaulted. Kyle Butler, of Hadyn Road, Basingstoke, has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The 20-year-old has appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on August 15. The charges relate to an incident at a house in Fylingdales Close, in the early hours of Sunday, August 3. While attending this incident, two female police officers were seriously assaulted and both required medical treatment. Detective Constable Craig Ferguson said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and would appeal for anyone who witnessed it or has any information which could help the investigation, to get in touch.”
