Man charged with impersonating army officer A 35-year-old man, Joseph Jack, who allegedly impersonated an army officer, was on Tuesday in Lagos charged before an Apapa Senior Magistrates’ Court. The accused, who lives in Omowumi in Ajegunle area of Lagos, is facing a five-count charge bordering on impersonation, assault, stealing and unlawful wearing of army uniform. The Prosecutor, ASP Austine Onwuemene, told the court that Jack with six others still at large committed the offences on May 19 at 6.45 a.m. at No. 5, Omowumi St., Ajegunle. He said the accused had been harassing residents of the area with the uniform.
