Man dies after truck touches power lines - Marsden Park Friday, 14 November 2014 07:12:07 AM Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found beside a truck on a property at Marsden Park this morning. Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command were called to the property on Richmond Road about 5am (Friday 14 November 2014), following reports from the owner that a truck had been abandoned. When officers arrived they saw that a truck fitted with a crane had struck overhead wires. The truck’s engine was still running and a man was seen lying beside the vehicle. As the area was still electrified, emergency services were unable to immediately reach the man until the area was rendered safe. When NSW Ambulance Paramedics reached the man he was unable to be revived. An investigation is now underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police will be preparing a report for the information of the Coroner.
