Man found guilty of 1st-degree murder November 8, 2014 By TORY IRWIN (tirwin@sungazette), Williamsport Sun-Gazette A jury found a Philadelphia man guilty of murdering Ansari Wilson on July 20, 2013. Tyrell Boyd, 23, was charged with shooting and killing Wilson at a 1510 Scott St. residence. Wilson was transported to Williamsport Regional Medical Center, where he died later that day. Along with the homicide charge, Boyd was found guilty of felony charges of aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and flight to avoid apprehension. The jurors deliberated for around four hours. At one point during the deliberation, the jury requested to return to the court room and listen to recorded clips of phone calls Boyd had while in prison that had been presented as evidence earlier in the trial.
