Man held for stealing saris, cash Hyderabad: The police arrested an autorickshaw driver for allegedly stealing costly saris and cash from a passenger. Police said the culprit used to target passengers waiting for autorickshaws with valuables. The accused, Mohd Moinuddin, 29, is a resident of Vattepally. Police said on Thursday evening one Mohd. Faheem, and his sister Rubina Sultana purchased two saris from Roshan Lal Shop near Meena bazaar. After shopping they hired Moinuddin’s autorickshaw to go home. When they approached Ramakrishna theatre the driver stopped the vehicle saying that he has to buy oil and asked them to get down. He also borrowed Rs 1,000 from them. As soon as the victims got down, Moinuddin fled with the saris, Rs 8,000 in cash and a phone. Moinuddin was nabbed and he confessed the crime. The cops recovered Rs 7,000 and some saris.
