Man pleads not guilty to raping, kidnapping acquaintance TROY - A Troy man accused of raping a woman he knows and holding her against her will at his apartment Dec. 10 pleaded not guilty Monday, Jan. 26, to felony indictments for rape and kidnapping. Bail for Stefan Kuntz, 20, was continued at $75,000 during arraignment in Miami County Common Pleas Court. Troy police reported they went to Kuntz Todd Lane apartment the evening of Dec. 10 after receiving a call about a disturbance. Officers were unable to get anyone to come to the door and eventually entered through an unlocked door. They said Kuntz came down the stairs assuring them nothing was wrong but the woman was following him mouthing the words help me to an officer. A pretrial hearing for Kuntz was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2.
