Man seriously injured in motorcycle collision This is a message sent via Derbyshire Alert. This information has been sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary (Please do not reply directly to this email, please use the Reply button at the bottom of this message) Message sent by Trisha Mellor (Police, Community Information Officer, Derbyshire) Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road crash in the High Peak. At about 8.40pm on Tuesday August 20 a serious collision occurred on the A5004, Long Hill, between Buxton and Whaley Bridge. It involved one vehicle, a black Suzuki GSX 1400 motorcycle. The rider, a 53-year-old man from Stockport, appears to have lost control on a bend whilst travelling towards Whaley Bridge. He sustained serious head injuries and is being treated in Wythenshawe Hospital. Anyone who has information should contact PC 2485 Andrew Prince from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
