Man this article challenged me way more than I though it would just by reading the title and the opening statements that fit nicely into a sound bite. As you read this article you see how deep it really is and the importance of kindness and generosity and relating with your spouse with things they like or feel is important. I have to admit, Ive blown it here, Im guilty of neglecting and blowing off the very people most important to me because Im so busy pursuing my interests. What Ive done is essentially communicate to them that they are unimportant and unworthy of my time attention and affection. Ive done this with my wife and kids. I can give my clients the utmost attention and service but when it comes to my own family they get the left overs. Im taking this chance right now to publicly apologize to my precious wife Lisa and Daughter Taylor and my boys Riley & Noah for the times Ive been guilty of this. It breaks my heart that I cant stand up and say I have done well here, hopefully and thankfully I can repair the fabric of our relationships and restore the bonds that hold our family together. I realize that if Im not careful to pay attention to the little things that big problems loom in the future. I thank God for wonderful friends and mentors that can help point this out to me in my life, that speak into my life on a regular basis and give me Godly counsel and wisdom rather than worldly destructive advice.
