We have a social responsibility to the next generation to assure them that life will be fine they dont have to take somebodys thing. There is an interesting thing in Jeremiah 11. Jeremiah is anointed by God to preach and the men react to his preaching . The village was a Jewish city of refuge. The men had come to a place where they were living any old how. Anointed by God, Jeremiah spoke and the men rejected what he said. Jeremiah wept to God and God spoke about how he will deal with the people who will not hear the counsel of God. Jeremiah 11:20-22 20 But, O Lord of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.21 Therefore thus saith the Lord of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the Lord, that thou die not by our hand: 22 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword ... This is hard to say but God judged the land and the people for the rejection of his counsel - for their benefit. They decided they will shut the message out and God said your young men will die. Frightening! The Bible said where there is no vision people perish, where there is no revelation people cast off restraint - where there are no stumps and rules ..We contend with God to our own demise! We thank you and ask you to pray for our nation - especially our sons that the hand of the Lord will be upon them. God bless you
