Man vs. Wild was one of my favourite shows as a teenager and I - TopicsExpress

Man vs. Wild was one of my favourite shows as a teenager and I really admired Bear Grylls for it. But, after reading his autobiography Mud, Sweat and Tears my respect for him has multiplied! Starting from his roots, you will get to know more about Bears family tree. His school and college days where he was infamous for being a mischievous lad! Later on he attempted for UK Special Forces where he failed once but emerged victorious in the subsequent attempt. The kind of efforts taken by him during his attempt truly justifies the book title :D A tragic incident happened to Bear while jumping from parachute at night in which his back got injured severely. But this didnt deter him, he went on to climb the Mount Everest just months after he broke his back with sheer will power and determination. His Everest climb story is breathtaking and enthralling. The book is not just about mud, sweat & tears but also about Bear being a family guy, socially sensitive person and more :)
