Manchester City latest: Including Lewandowski and Maicon https://facebook/manchesterisb #mcfc #mcfcnews #manchesterisblue Carlos Tevez has spoken for the first time following the completion of his move to Juventus. With just one year remaining on his Manchester City contract, the Argentinian striker was always expected to leave this summer. And that has now come to pass following his move to Serie A. Tevez wil wear the number 10 shirt next season, and was given a rapturous reception by the Italian champion’s fans when he first arrived for his medical. “I feel the Italian supporters are really similar to the Argentinian ones because they really get involved with the club,” he said. Tevez then spoke of his aims for next season, targeting the league championship with the long-term plan of winning the Champions League with the Bianconeri. With Tevez gone, Manuel Pellegrini is in the hunt for a new striker. And reports today suggest that man could be Robert Lewandowski. Yes, we know he is off to Bayern Munich in 12 months. But that hasn’t stopped suggestions that City are hoping his current club Borussia Dortmund will ultimately decide to cash in this summer rather than lose him on a free next year. City are said to have considered a £25million bid earlier this summer, before being told the Polish striker only had eyes for one team. In short, any story involving Lewandowski can be given short shrift. He is Munich-bound, with Jurgen Klopp only able to prevent that from happening for so long. It has also been confirmed that another City target – Malaga midfielder Isco – won’t be coming to the Etihad either. The 21-year-old has agreed a five-year-deal to join Real Madrid for a reported fee of £23million. He will complete his medical on 3 July before being presented to the Spanish club’s fans. Two defenders who could be on their way out of the Etihad are Aleksandar Kolarov and Micah Richards. The Richards story shows no signs of dying down, despite City being bemused at the initial reports that he had rejected a new three-year contract. And following yesterday’s story that Inter Milan were keen on the England man, now Bayern Munich are said to be considering a move. Reports suggest the German treble-winners may make a £14million move for the right-back should his future at the Blues remain uncertain. No, we don’t believe it either. More likely is a move to Juventus for Kolarov, who is keen for more game time than he has enjoyed recently. And finally, Brazilian Maicon is keen to stay at City and earn a re-call to the Brazil squad in time for the World Cup. After a promising start the 31-year-old barely featured for City but his agent said, “Now he wants to prove his worth in a Manchester City jersey and achieve the World Cup’s call with Brazil.”
