Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal plans to complete the £30m - TopicsExpress

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal plans to complete the £30m double signing of Feyenoord duo Bruno Martins Indi and Jordy Clasie, two of the brightest young talents in his Netherlands squad, after the World Cup. Van Gaal is wary of upsetting one of his country’s biggest clubs on the eve of next month’s finals, according to the Mirror, so will subsequently pass on dossiers to United’s hierarchy to keep a watching brief over the talented Dutch pair. Once the tournament ends - or as soon as Netherlands are eliminated - Red Devils chiefs will attempt to thrash out a deal with the Eredivisie outfit. Martins Indi, 22, is a towering centre-half who some are tipping to become the Netherlands’ next Jaap Stam - a colossal central defender who famously spent three years with Manchester United before falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson in 2001. Clasie, meanwhile, is a gifted 22-year-old midfielder whose impressive performances have earned him the label of the ‘Dutch Xavi’. Robin van Persie, who the Mirror claim will have a big say in what happens at Old Trafford this summer, has likened the young star to United legend Paul Scholes, while Van Gaal is also a huge fan. After the 62-year-old pulled the plug on deals to sign Cesc Fabregas and Toni Kroos - of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, respectively - it seems Clasie could be the midfielder Van Gaal plans to base United’s future around. As well as requiring at least one new central midfielder, United are also in the hunt to secure the services of a top-class centre-back following the departures of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, hence why Van Gaal is keen to sign Martins Indi. The experienced Dutch coach also has one eye on Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.
