Manchester United have made a final offer of £32 million plus striker Javier Hernandez for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal according to reports in Chile. The offer represents the final roll of the dice by Louis van Gaal, who has reportedly made landing Vidal his top priority this summer but has so far seen his best efforts fail. Saga Manchester Uniteds pursuit of the Juventus ace has been one of the most drawn-out sagas of the summer, but with time running out it would appear as though the Red Devils have laid their cards on the table in order to get the deal done. Huge bid The figure quoted by the Chilean source is $53 million (around £32m) plus the services of out- of-favour striker Javier Hernandez, valued at £15 million. The Mexican is one of seven players who have reportedly been told by Van Gaal that they have no future at Old Trafford and will be sold this summer. He has grown increasingly frustrated with being marginalised behind both Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie and would like to leave, with Juventus one of the clubs suggested as his potential destination. Van Gaal is hoping to use the Turin-based clubs interest in the forward to persuade them to sell Vidal, despite high-profile figures at the club insisting publicly that he wont be sold. Knee An interesting facet of El Mercurios story is that Vidals history of knee problems could well prompt Juventus to sell up. It was previously suggested that Manchester United had stalled on the deal because of worries over his troublesome knee but that factor could now well work in their favour as they look to get the deal done. It has so far been a difficult window for Manchester United but things appear to be gathering pace with under two weeks of the window to go. Reports suggest they will step up their interest in Angel di Maria from Real Madrid, while moves for Sami Khedira and Daley Blind have also been mooted. So far the Red Devils have signed three players this window; Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo for a combined fee of around £72 million.
