Manchester United manager David Moyes was snapped during Juan Mata’s goal celebration - remonstrating with one of his own players. Manchester United had a match to remember at St. James Park yesterday, as they battered a disappointing Newcastle United side 4-0. In fact, it was arguably Moyes’ most satisfying Saturday afternoon as Manchester United boss to date. The victory was the perfect preparation for Manchester United’s crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg clash against Bayern Munich in Germany on Wednesday. And Manchester Uniteds Juan Mata once again excelled in his favoured role behind the striker, finding the net twice and adding a late assist for youngster Adnan Januzaj. Mata’s opening goal of the game came from an exquisite free-kick from 20-yards out which found the top corner. During his celebration, he ran to the Manchester United bench in order to express his joy. One can only speculate why Moyes had opted to bark orders at Fellaini instead of celebrate with his players, but with Fellaini’s lack of touches in the first-half, perhaps the Manchester United boss felt his big summer signing wasn’t imposing himself enough on the game.
