Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has banned himself from the club’s Carrington training ground until he is able to fully take part with the rest of the squad. The Scotland captain has been struggling with a stomach problem for the past three years and, despite not having a date, believes he is not far from returning to action. Chelsea star Juan Mata has insisted he was never worried about being offloaded by new manager Jose Mourinho and is happy at Stamford Bridge. The Spanish playmaker said he was relaxed about the speculation surrounding his future following talks with Mourinho and Chelsea officials. Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is ready to take legal action to force through a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal. The Gunners have had a £40,000,001 bid rejected for the Uruguay international and he believes that amount should be enough to activate a clause in his contract that would allow him to move to Emirates Stadium. Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero offered to buy five players for his boyhood club Independiente and pay their salaries after they were relegated for the first time in their 108-year history. Aguero’s father told press in Argentina that the Etihad Stadium star was desperate to help out the club where he made his senior debut, but that their offer had been completely ignored. Clint Dempsey’s switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Seattle Sounders will see him earn more than former MLS superstar David Beckham. The American forward completed the £6million switch from White Hart Lane this week and reports claim his £5.2million-a-year base salary eclipses what Beckham earned with LA Galaxy. Cesc Fabregas is definitely staying at Barcelona and Manchester United should give up their chase, according to his teammate Gerard Pique. David Moyes has had two bids for the former Arsenal captain rejected this summer and Pique was adamant the Old Trafford club would not succeed in their pursuit.
