Manchester United outcast Anderson may finally be on the verge of ending his Old Trafford misery with a £5.5m move to Sporting Lisbon. Reports claim the Brazilian is wanted by the Portuguese outfit who are willing to stump-up the cash to sign him before the transfer window closes in 13 days time. Anderson has failed to live-up to the sizeable £20m price-tag Sir Alex Ferguson paid for him seven seasons ago. And has scored just five goals in over a century of appearances for the 13-time Premier League champions. The 26-year-old failed to make an impression in his six-month loan spell with Italian side Fiorentina, playing just seven games, and again - failed to register a single goal.
