Manchester United winger Nani appears set to secure a move to Serie A title holders Juventus according to Sports Direct News. The Old Trafford wide-man has fallen down the pecking order and managed just seven Premier League starts last term and the arrival of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace this summer seemingly acted as a death knell to the Portuguese international’s chances of re-igniting his career at the Premier League club. Now this source suggests that Man United have agreed an £11m bid from Antonio Conte’s Turin based side, a move that Nani would seemingly jump at having seen his career in England stutter over the past couple of seasons. Juventus seem keen to improve their attack, with their back to back Serie A titles perhaps owing more to a defensive resilience and a midfield guile, rather than the presence of real creativity from wide areas or a prolific strike-force. To that end Conte brought in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente from Man City and Athletic Bilbao respectively and presumably sees Nani as the man to provide the ammunition. Nani moved to Man United in June 2007 and initially struggled to force his way from behind the shadow of national team colleague Cristiano Ronaldo but for a time after the star performer left for Real Madrid the former Sporting Lisbon man did make a real impact, most notably in the 2010/11 Premier League title winning side, however being dropped from Sir Alex Ferguson’s Champions League final starting eleven in that season could perhaps be seen as the beginning of the end for the talented attacker’s Old Trafford career.
