Manchester United’s players have been trying to reignite their creative spark in a new promotional video for sponsors Aeroflot. The two minute video challenges some of the first team to paint a plane, judged by United’s vice-captain Darren Fletcher. Angel di Maria, Ashley Young, Anderson and David de Gea are among those to feature in the competition, but it was new boy Ander Herrera who stormed to victory. The Spanish playmaker has recently been linked with an exit from the club following rumours Louis van Gaal is looking at alternative options in January. Fletcher awarded Michael Carrick and Di Maria with second and third place respectively, he describing the holding midfielder’s painting as a “poor man’s version” of Herrera’s attempt.
