Mandi Bahauddin: Citizens of Mandi Bahauddin district including ex-servicemen and members of civil society complemented the district administration at all tiers, especially the police, for taking excellent security measures and doing their job well during observance of Muharram. President Divan Asad Adrees, General Secretary Muhammad Amin and Babu Bashir of Traders Association congratulated the DCO Imtiaz Niazi and the DPO Ameer for ensuring the safety of hundreds of processions held in main city and other major towns of the district including Phalia and Malikwal. It was not a small task to provide security cover to every procession but it was a good planning of the police and its proficient implementation on ground that did not allow even a small untoward incident to occur, they said. They further added even the Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Mansha Allah Butt, Commissioner Gujranwala Khawja Shamoil and Regional Police Officer Sahad Akhtar Bharwana, during their visit to Mandi Bahauddin on 10 Muharram could not resist offering their appreciation over implementation of fool proof security measures when they participated in the main procession of mouners in Sadar Bazar.
