Mang Imias on his own initiative sought to learn natural farming by attending Pambansang Kilusan ng mga Magsasaka nationwide training programs and later honed his skills by getting additional training on Natural Farming System Technology with NF training master, Andry Lim.He truly embraced and lives the natural farming values of community sharing-empowered by his intelligence, will and natural farming skills he rose above the scourge of chemical farming and its ill effects on farmers health and limiting their capacity to live a dignified life on very limited resources.when you meet Mang Imias, he is so proud to say he has regained his health (he experienced being bed-ridden for more than six months because of the chemicals he used in growing his rice crop in thhe past) through consumption of the various fermented plant concoctions he also gives to the soils,the plants and animals in his natural farming practice .His 9 children are all involved in various farming activities ,even those who are still going to school, and they are all trained and skilled natural farmers because of their father and mothers tutelage and guidance.He is a respected and inspiring community leader of our farming community -our president in our Cagayan Valley Organic Farmers Alliance.
