As Hanks and I spent time together, I serenaded him with Elvis! Hanks is stunning despite being emaciated (were feeding him an extra meal daily to help him gain some weight). His body is lithe, elegant and tall, and despite his poor body weight, his coat is shiny and soft. In typical hound fashion he keeps his nose to the ground, exploring his new surroundings by scent. Interestingly enough he seems to know cars, and as we walked by several SUVs parked he perked up, looking up as if he thought he was getting in. Perhaps his former owner owned an SUV? Hanks seems to like other dogs wagging his tail in friendship at those we met, and greeting each as they came to meet him in our backyard pen. He sits when asked to, and as hungry as he is takes reward treats gently. Hanks is stunning, ready to find a new home where he will have space to roam, and plenty of new scents to explore. Hes friendly, gentle and ready to find his BFF. Hes waiting.
