Manmohan’s speech in UN ‘misleading’: National Front “India again showed its fraud face to world’ Srinagar, Sep 30: (GNS) Terming the statement of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at UN General Assembly as “misleading” and an attempt to distort history, senior resistance leader and National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan on Monday said the people of South Asia are unfortunate, “as a country like India is a part of the region which has no respect for the rights of even its own people.” In s statement issued to GNS on Monday Khan said that Indian PM during his speech to the UN General Assembly talked of resolving all issues with Pakistan including that of Jammu and Kashmir but in the same breath claimed that J&K is an integral part India. “This is enough proof that India is using the same tactics of killing time which it has been using since decades together.” “By making contradictory and unrealistic statement, Manmohan Singh has not only tried to mislead the world community but has shown the true face of India’s duplicity to the whole world,” Khan in a statement said. He said that Indian PM has once again tried to distort the history. “While as the historical fact is that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally accepted dispute and its people are yet to decide about their political future.” Khan said that India is not honoring the rights of the people of J&K and its rigidity has endangered the lives of the people of the whole region. “India doesn’t show any sincerity towards the commitments and promises made with Kashmiri people at the United Nations by it, so it does not have any moral right to seek permanent membership in UN Security Council,” Khan added. Urging New Delhi to shun its delaying tactics, Khan said it is high time for India to accept the facts and refrain from playing vote politics. “Because, due to such policy of India, innocent people continue to suffer in the region,” Nayeem Khan added.
