Manna for today (Fri August 8, 2014) ******************** LIVIN IT UP 1Tim 1:22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. It profits us nothing when we read or hear the word or instruction of God and not put it to practical use in our lives. The value of the received word is the use to which it is put, otherwise it is made miserably ineffective and useless. We must study to pattern our lives according to the word we hear. Its more resourceful as a life manual than merely boasting knowledge of it. It isnt a book of suggestion, we must permit it to affect and transform our lives. Rom 12:2 says And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Lets renew our mind with the word and be transformed to the outside by it. Confession prayer: I receive the Gods special grace to put into valuable use the word of God in my life. Amen.
