Manners is our next open program coming up this summer and there are still a few open spots ~ its going to be a great one! :) Manners This interactive program is focused on developing children’s social and leadership skills. It is fun and informative way to encourage the development and understanding of the role respect plays in successful cooperative relationship with others. In this program children will also learn basic manners such as making introductions, handshakes, first impressions, table manners, social behavior and telephone etiquette. Interactive activities, role playing and crafts direct the child’s learning in a fun and entertaining program that is flexible and can be adjusted according to the time available. The older class will focus on these things as well as delving into politeness, learning to navigate family life and social situations, rules for school, special places and much more. As Iva will be designing a specific program around the ages of our groups learning objectives from the younger class may flow into the older class and vice versa. Facilitator: Iva Musilek Bio: Iva was born in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic. After coming to Canada, Iva decided to pursue her lifelong interest in etiquette. She received certification as an Etiquette Consultant from the Canadian etiquette expert, Louise Fox, and became affiliated with the Etiquette Ladies. Iva aspires to improve the quality of our everyday lives through civility and respect for ourselves and others. She hopes to share the fulfilling experience of combining the grace of the old world with politeness and respect of the new.
