Mannington Twp. barricaded suspect charged with robbery, aggravated assault, N.J. State Police say Matthew James Dunn MANNINGTON TWP. — A Swedesboro man faces aggravated assault and other charges after he reportedly barricaded himself in a doctor’s office Monday, according to police. A New Jersey State Police spokesman said Matthew Dunn, 32, locked himself in an examination room in the Oasis Pain Management office located at Route 45 and Bypass Road. He allegedly became upset after he was not prescribed pain medication, according to police. Several state police units — including troopers from the NJSP barracks in Woodstown and a state police TEAMS Unit — responded to the scene just before 9 a.m. A detective from the NJSP Crisis Negotiation team was able to contact Dunn and have him surrender peacefully, according to police. Authorities said he had a handgun in his possession that they later found out was a pellet gun. Dunn was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun and aggravated assault.
