Manolis Neophytou holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) Degree in Performance from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, where he studied with a scholarship. He also studied in Ecole Normale in Paris again with a scholarship. He has obtained his Masters in Piano Performance from the University of London with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (I.K.Y.) Manolis represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Classical Contests in Brussels, Warsaw and Lisbon after winning the Cyprus National Competitions for young musicians. He has received prizes in several piano competitions. His performance activities include solo recitals and concerts in Greece, Russia, Poland, Italy, France, Ireland, U.K., Korea, South Africa and Cyprus. Homage to Greek Music is the title of his CD, which was published in 2004 and received a very good review from Mikis Theodorakis. He has also written music for the documentary film by Alessia de Ninno, which received a prize from the NFT (National Film Theatre) of London. Chrysostomos Neophytou was born in Paphos, Cyprus in 1981. In 2001 he moved to Paris, where he studied at the National Conservatory under the guidance of 2 excellent violin teachers: Mrs. Calvi and Mr. Queyras. There he received two diplomas in Music Studies, one in Violin and the other in Chamber Music. Chrysostomos participated as a soloist and first violin in several concerts with the orchestra of the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Argenteuil. Through his performances, he developed a particular interest in Contemporary Music. This led him to start collaborations with many composers such as Ivan Bellocq. In 2010, he moved to London where he obtained a Master of Arts in Violin Performance and Administration of Music from the Royal Academy of Music, in 2011. There, he took part in various concerts, organized festival appearances with musicians from different parts of the world! We are very lucky and honoured to have them performing at cavArt!
