Manus resettlement may require PNG to change laws, says Scott Morrison. I hope PNG in the next 100 years can do the same by dumping its problem onto another countrys soil and ask them to change their mama laws to suit. I understand the issue and as a responsible regional neighbors we are obliged to help but not changing our mama laws, I really think the government should seek peoples view first on this one. We are an independent state and a sovereign nation and must at all times respect and protect our constitution by changing it to suit our neighbors call for a few dollars em shame pasin ya.. And the other one again from Scott Morrison - Refugees Status no ticket to the first world says, Says Scott Morrison. With ailing infrastructures, struggling Health facilities and bad law & order situation in Nauru & PNG will AusAid Funds continue to patch those issues permanently so more refugees can be dumped under the Australian Refugee resettlement program ? The refugees needs the protection of the local police, needs placings in schools, needs piped water and many more other services. They will compete with our citizens in business and those other essential services. What if Australia decides to shut down the program in 5 years time while we have thousands of refugees to baby sit who may have the same rights as citizens of png? PNG has 7.5m population now and struggling to deliver the basics, we must be careful.
