Manut Kiir Mayardit is not just a NORMAL 23-year-old boy. He is the son of the president of the Republic of South Sudan. Manut Kiir Mayardit, at his current age, is therefore the shadow leader of the Young People of South Sudan - just as his mother, the First Lady, Her Excellency Mary Ayendit has been the leader of the Women of South Sudan. At the times our country seems to be falling apart, Manut Kiir Mayardit is the only Young Man who can look in the eye of the president of the Republic of South Sudan and say: Daddy, I know these are difficult political times for you, I know you are also fighting for your legacy, I know what you are going through; But daddy, I just returned from Kakuma Refugee Camp. To be honest daddy, it has never that bad for Young People of South Sudan. There, in Kakuma, I found young Southerners struggling to find one-day meal let alone the next day. On top of that, young people have hardly enough water to drink, Kakuma is a semi-desert you know. Daddy, I also went to visit new refugee camps in Uganda. I have never seen anything like it: there were thousands of young people of my age exposed to many kind of diseases, they had no excess to education, they survived on UNs ratio, their pride burning away. Daddy, I think you must work extraordinarily harder to bring this country back to normally. Because I personally do not want to inherit war from you. Manut must rise up to his role as a representative of young people in the family of the president of South Sudan.
