Many Americans know this man only as the voice of the Harry Potter audio books (he does em for the U.S., Stephen Fry does them for the UK), but Jim Dale has had a ridiculously long and varied career as pop artist, songwriter, movie actor, early Brit rocknroll artiste, and Broadway star (in fact, his 1976 performance in Scapino left an indelible impression on me). I have always loved this strange song, which he wrote (and was later covered and made a hit in the UK by Des OConner, a name COMPLETELY unknown in the states).
