Many Muslims do not understand the difference between personal attack and criticizing an ideology. People have rights, not ideology. When Muslims inbox me with messages of hate and wishing for my death, that is personal attack. When I was featured in the tabloid newspaper as murtad of the year, that was designed to invoke hatred from Muslims to stone me. When I question Allahs character and insult Allah and Islam in general, that is not personal attack. Allah is not a person, and he doesnt need rights and protection. Allah represents ideology called Islam. Sure, I am mean and not nice for doing it, but it is still criticizing an ideology. No difference from criticizing other religions, or political/social ideology like communism or socialism, etc. And even though Muslims would like to think insulting Muhammad is personal attack, it is not. The dude has been dead for 1400 years, what he is today is merely symbolism of Islam. Me criticizing him or his actions will not bring any harm to him. Thats the difference.
